Group Visits

Trust the advice of current students: EWU's campus is so much more than 300 acres of historic buildings, modern facilities and famous red turf. Besides, visits and events are the best way to find the right school for you.

    Campus Construction

Due to the Pence Union Building (PUB) redesign that is taking place on EWU's main campus, special guidelines have been introduced to ensure you have the best group visit possible:

    Scheduling your Visit

To assure your visit is tailored to your needs, you'll want to plan well in advance.

Your visit may include the following activities

    Campus Tour

    Time: 60 minutes
      All ages

Student guides provide walking tours of campus. As time allows, you will have the opportunity to explore the majority of the Cheney campus. Your tour includes the library and University Recreation Center. The ratio of visitors to guides will depend on how many guides are available at that time.

    Admissions Presentation

    Time: 30 minutes
    All ages

A typical presentation includes the admissions process, how to apply for college, what students should do to prepare for college, and a question and answer session with an admissions representative.

    Admissions Workshop

    Time: 30 minutes
    Audience: All ages

Choose from multiple workshops on college fit, essay writing, and more. Workshops are age-specific.

    On-campus Lunch

    Time: 45-60 minutes
      All ages

Cost for meals varies but is typically $7-$10 per student. EWU Dining Services requires a two-week notice to plan your group meal.

    Student Panel

    Time: 30 minutes
    All ages

Ask questions and get unscripted answers from 3-6 current EWU students.

    Recreation Activities

    Time: varies
    High School

Recreation activities includes an ice rink, rock climbing wall, a fieldhouse with track and multiple sport courts, and multiple gyms. We are happy to coordinate use of these facilitates as available.

    Overnight Visits

Time: One night, Monday night through Thursday night
    High School

You can have up to 50 high school students stay overnight in Morrison Hall. The cost of an overnight visit varies, and you will need to provide your own linens or rent them from EWU Housing. At least one chaperone is required per 15 students. Please contact us at least four weeks in advance to discuss details and availability.
