    1. Application: Apply online and submit the non-refundable $75 application fee.  (Only one fee is assessed for dual-degree applicants.)
    2. Transcripts: Submit one copy of official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. Transcripts from EWU do not need to be submitted, however. Students who have previously been admitted to Eastern should submit transcripts only from schools attended since their previous EWU admission, if any.

For Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Communication Sciences & Disorders applicants only: At the time you apply, your official transcripts should be submitted directly to PTCAS, OTCAS, or CSDCAS.

    3. Test Scores: Submit official score reports from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test, if required by the department, or score reports from the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), for MBA applicants. See the GRE website or the GMAT website for detailed information about these tests, including testing locations and the registration process.

    4. GPA Requirement: Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the most recent 90 quarter or 60 semester graded credits of postsecondary academic course work. For students who do not meet this standard, the Director of Graduate Studies may, with the written recommendation of the program director, approve admission based upon considerations which include GRE or other test scores, performance in relevant graduate courses and faculty evaluations.

    5. Department Recommendation: Applicants must be recommended for admisison by their program's department and approved by the Director of Graduate Studies for admission. This decision will occur once your application is reviewed by your prospective program.

    6. Deadlines: Find your area of study from the list of Graduate Programs to see your program-specific deadline information. Many programs have earlier deadlines that supersede these Graduate Studies Office deadlines.  If no specific deadline is posted there, then complete applications for programs with quarterly admission are due to the Graduate Studies Office no later than three weeks before the start of classes for the intended enrollment term. International students should begin the application process at least six months before the start of a given term and should review the specific application deadlines found on the International Graduate Students page.

    7. International Students: All additional requirements for international applicants, including English proficiency requirements, are available at the International Graduate Students page. In addition to their regular application requirements, international applicants must also complete the International Supplemental Application found with the Forms below. It may be mailed or emailed to the Graduate Studies Office.

    Program-Specific Requirements
