"I received my B.S. in Biology focusing on wildlife management from Eastern Washington University in 2016. I was an intern for SCA at the Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge in the summer of 2016 where I surveyed several hundred invasive plant species evaluating the efficiency of past and applied treatments where needed. My primary interests are in ornithology and behavioral ecology. The purpose of my study is to examine factors influencing roost-site selection in overwintering cavity-nesting birds. I am examining how vocalizations influence the roost-site selection and how this might vary with changing temperatures. The information yielded from my study will provide insight on how factors are affecting the overwinter survival and behavior of these keystone species. "
