    What are the degree options?

    The Department of Biology offers undergraduate programs leading to a:

    Bachelor of Science- Biology (BS)

    Bachelor of  Arts in Education- Biology (BAE

    Bachelor of Science- Environmental Science w/Biology Emphasis (BS- Environmental Science)

    Minors: Biology, Health Sciences, Secondary Education, General Science Endorsement (Minors) 

    All students are expected to work closely with their faculty advisor to determine their curriculum

    The Department of Biology offers a graduate program leading to the Master of Science in Biology.

    What can I do with my degree?

    Biology encompasses the scientific study of life. The structure and function of organisms are studied at the molecular, cellular, organismal, population and ecosystems levels.

    A degree in biology is the first step into finding a career in one of hundreds of growing fields in health sciences, biotechnology and environmental sciences; in government agencies concerned with resource management, environmental quality and medical research; and in educational institutions as teachers and laboratory technicians.
