Abstract

The Urban Planning programs offer both undergraduate and graduate degrees in urban and regional planning. Both degree programs are professionally accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board.

    The Graduate Certificate in Regional Economic Public Policy Analysis offers the opportunity to expand and enhance quantitative skills to analyze policy issues such as the regional economic impact of proposed housing projects, plant closures, or social program expansions. The focus of the certificate is on the development of analytical methods of economics and statistics, identification of appropriate statistical information for regional analysis, tools, methodologies and techniques of policy analysis, and the use of analytical tools and methods such as GIS, input-output analysis, regression analysis and computer modeling.

    The REPPA Certificate is a 28-credit curriculum that can be a part of a graduate program at EWU or a stand-alone certificate.  All applicants to the certificate program must complete a separate graduate application. Students must complete the prerequisites or equivalent coursework, the 16 credits of required courses and 12 credits of electives as listed in the links below.
