Abstract

The Urban Planning programs offer both undergraduate and graduate degrees in urban and regional planning. Both degree programs are professionally accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board.

    The Association of Student Planners (AS): Mission and Purpose:

    The Association of Student Planners (ASP) is an organization for Urban and Regional Planning students including graduates (M.U.R.P.), undergraduates (B.A.), and any other students interested in urban and regional planning.  

    Our goals as an organization are to welcome new students into the program, coordinate social events, fundraise for conferences, provide opportunities to utilize urban planning skills in community service projects, and to promote networking between students and professionals.  

    American Planning Association (APA):

    The Association of Student Planners serves on the Washington Chapter and the Inland Empire Section (APA-IES) of the American Planning Association's Board of Directors.  

    ASP welcomes new students into the program and/or any student that is interested in the planning field. There are many opportunities to network with professionals in various areas related to planning including tribal, environmental, and land use planning/law.  

    ASP gives students the ability to and develop skills in community development, environmental integrity, and service to the community. These skills will further enhance any community to establish the way in which they view their future.
