    SPOKANE, Wash. - Books make great gifts. Just in time for the holidays, Eastern Washington University's Get Lit! Programs will hold a fundraiser at Barnes & Noble. On Sunday, Dec.11, a percentage of your purchase will go to support Get Lit!'s annual literary festival and ongoing educational outreach programs related to literacy. Proceeds from this fundraiser will help Get Lit! Programs continue to organize quality literary events for all ages.

    You don't have to be in the Spokane area to show your support for Get Lit! Programs. All you need to do is present one of our vouchers at any Barnes & Noble. The voucher can be found on the Get Lit! website under "Get Involved" at, or in the Dec. 8 edition of The Inlander. For those who prefer to shop online, go to between Dec. 11-15 and use the Bookfair ID # at checkout.

    Get Lit! Programs will also offer free gift wrapping at Barnes & Noble in the Spokane Valley (15310 East Indiana) on Dec. 11. Look for our table from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. to get your gifts wrapped on the spot. Any tips received will be contributed to Get Lit! Programs.
