In 2013 EWU was ranked the safest public university in the state. More importantly, EWU offers transparency when it comes to its Annual Campus Safety Report. This report provides an overview of crime statistics, and it outlines EWU's security policies and procedures in the event of a campus emergency. You can view and print this report by visiting the Campus Safety website.
Students and families can also sign up for EWU Alerts, which notifies the campus community in the event of an emergency or safety situation on the Cheney campus.
Many students, even successful students, are surprised by the academic rigor of college. To help your student make the transition, EWU has innovative and successful programs. Examples include EWU's new Academic Success Center in the JFK Library, PLUS study groups, the Writers Center and the Math Lab.
