First things first: Greek life at EWU involves more studying and community service than you might expect. In fact, academics and community leadership are always the primary focus of EWU's fraternities and sororities.
To put it simply: if you're in a sorority or fraternity at EWU, you need to commit to your studies and to helping others in your community. If you're ready to make that commitment, you're going to love EWU's Greek life.
Several sororities and fraternities do not have chapter houses. This means you can join a fraternity or sorority without living in Greek row. Chapter houses are not part of EWU and are considered off-campus properties.
Hazing is strictly forbidden, and fraternities and sororities have high GPA entrance requirements as well as exacting GPA requirements for current members.
Formal recruitment does not occur until fall classes have started. This way you won't encounter any scheduling conflicts with your courses. It's good to know that recruiting schedules can vary widely by fraternity or sorority.
You'll want to head to the Sorority and Fraternity Life website to start performing your in-depth research.
Greek life is not part of the admission process.
