Should a library item become lost or damaged while it is checked out to you, please contact the circulation desk immediately. Various replacement or payment options may be available.
If you are certain the material is lost and will not be found in a reasonable time period, or if the item is badly damaged, you may either pay the replacement cost or submit a replacement copy. Replacement copies must be hardbound, be the same edition, and be in good condition. The library may refuse to accept a replacement copy if it is determined unsuitable for placement in the collection.
In some cases, a damaged item can be repaired, resulting in lower charges.
