Not only are we preparing to wrap up another great academic year here at Eastern, but this spring also marks the conclusion of the first year of the university's five-year strategic-planning process, "Inspiring the Future". We are now finalizing a report showcasing the accomplishments for Year One. This will be available in August.
Over the past 12 months, each division of the university has also taken the time to align their efforts with the four key goals of the EWU Strategic Plan - Student Success, Institution of Innovation, Community Engagement and Visibility. We would like to share with you plans outlining each division's multi-year goals, strategies and actions so you can see how each unit is striving to succeed. These are now available on the Inspiring the Future website.
The university now turns it sights toward developing the Year Two Action Plan. We hope to kick off this phase with a campuswide conference in late summer, where representatives from each division will help showcase what has been accomplished and what to expect in 2013-2014. All students, staff, and faculty will be invited to participate.
In the meantime, your continued support of the strategic plan is appreciated. Please remember to visit ewu.edu/inspiringthefuture for access to the latest information and progress reports on this important planning process.
