    Dr. Judd Case, who began his term as Dean of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (formerly College of Science, Health and Engineering) in 2006, brings a background of discovery and adventure with him to his new post. Case, an accomplished biologist, was one of a team of scientists who discovered the fossilized bones of a previously unknown carnivorous dinosaur in Antarctica.

    Dr. Christian Hansen is head of the School of Computing and Engineering Sciences. He has been with EWU since 1993 and served previously as chair of the Department of Mathematics (2001-2009). He brings to this position more than 25 years experience in a variety of engineering applications, including reliability modeling and failure data analysis for complex electronic systems. Dr. Hansen also currently serves as the President of the IEEE Reliability Society. He is a graduate of the Technical University of Denmark with degrees in Electrical Engineering (MS, 1988) and Statistics (PhD, 1991).

    Dr. Steve Simmons has served as Community Liaison for the College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics since 2009. His EWU experience with industry has included product development partnerships with XN Technologies, Avista, Target Color Technologies, GenPrime and Argo Technical Publishing.  His collaborative community project experience has included SIRTI's Software Engineering Laboratory, the Downtown Spokane Partnership's Terabyte Triangle, Avista's VPnet, Washington State's Pacific Northwest GigaPOP as well as his current EWU/Spokane Symphony MANOME project for real-time computer network interaction. Dr. Simmons is also quarterly and emeritus faculty in EWU's computer science department.

    Melanie Miller has been working with the Eastern Washington University Foundation since 2014. The EWU Foundation is the fundraising arm for the University and supports university wide philanthropic initiatives. She works closely with donors to the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in support of student initiatives, program support and scholarships. Melanie brings to Eastern more than a decade of fundraising and leadership experience in the Inland Northwest and a passion for student success.
