    Overview to the S-STEM program

The "Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics" (S-STEM) program at EWU supports student success by providing scholarship, academic, and career development support to STEM students with financial needs, enabling them to focus on their studies rather than on outside employment.

The EWU S-STEM program supports juniors and seniors who are pursuing degrees in Biology, Biochemistry, or Environmental Science. Students in preclinical programs (including medicine, dental, veterinary medicine, medical laboratory science, etc.) are not eligible.

S-STEM scholars will receive up to $7,000 per year (depending on their unmet financial need) for two years and are required to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and to participate in monthly activities that will include faculty advising, community service, career services counseling, and professional development activities with our agency and industry partners.
