AbstractThe college of nursing is shared by three institutions of higher education: Eastern Washington University, Washington State University and Whitworth University. The nature of the consortium encourages an environment supportive of individual differences in students, faculty and institutional emphases and provides a diversity of student backgrounds and experiences which stimulate and enhance learning.

Programs of Study
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is available through the Intercollegiate Nursing Alliance. The WSU College of Nursing in Spokane, WA also offers a Master of Nursing (MN) and a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (PhD) for those planning an advanced degree.
What will I study?Nursing students start with prerequisite courses in biology, chemistry, psychology, sociology, human development, statistics, and nutrition. Once admitted to the BSN program, specialized course work can include: pathophysiology/pharmacology, health assessment, gerontology, childbearing health, psychiatric/mental health care nursing, leadership/management, acute/chronic care nursing and much more.
