The College of Science, Health and Engineering (CSHE) is comprised of 15 programs of study spread over 11 departments, all with steadily increasing student enrollments.
The College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics is one of the most exciting places to be a student at Eastern Washington University. As a student in this academic division of the university, you can major in any of these fields: Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Computer Science, Earth Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Visual Communication Design, Environmental Science, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Natural Science and Physics.
No matter which major you choose in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics , talented and experienced faculty members will be there to help you learn everything; from how to build a robot; from quantum mechanics, to how to interpret the cosmos; from how to track songbirds. The topics are nearly endless.
One of the reasons you'll learn such specifics is a low student-to-faculty ratio at EWU. That means you get personalized instruction from professors in the classroom, and greater access to your professors outside of the classroom.
And, because the faculty are actively involved in research, you may also have the opportunity as a graduate, as well as an undergraduate student, to assist them with many of their intriguing research projects. This will help you develop field and laboratory skills beyond those you'll learn in the classroom.
