Gerry Charvat is CWTAP Field Instructor and Lecturer for the Cheney full-time day program and for the Spokane Hybrid part-time program located throughout Eastern Washington. He joined EWU in May 2015. He is primarily located in the Spokane Children's Administration Office, however he is also stationed in the Richland office on a limited basis.
Prior to joining EWU, Gerry Charvat was a Supervisor for the Indian Child Welfare (ICW) unit in the Spokane Office of the Department of Children and Family Services. Prior to this Gerry worked as an ICW Child Welfare Services worker in Spokane, WA and as an ICW CPS worker in Bellingham, WA. Gerry earned his Master's Degree in Social Work in 2005 and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Developmental Psychology in 2003, both from Eastern Washington University.
Gerry Charvat has a strong interest in Indian Child Welfare and Child Development. Gerry is a husband, father and grandfather. He is an avid backpacker and prefers sleeping outside.
