I am the Director of Eastern Washington University’s School Psychology Respecialization Program. The program is a cohort-based hybrid model that is delivered through Eastern Online’s Canvas System and is NASP aligned. I earned my B.A. in Psychology at the University of Montana. After realizing that I had a passion for education and working with children, I went back to school to earn a master’s degree in special education with teaching certification. I taught (special education, dual credit psychology) for 7 years while I worked on my counseling and school psychology degrees. I had the opportunity to work with students in preK through age 21 settings in resource, extended resource, and transition programs and also taught in a magnet behavior intervention program in Boise, Idaho. I continued my education to earn my administration and special education director certifications and a doctorate in education with a focus on special education and leadership through University of Idaho. I have worked in the Spokane area as a special education teacher and school psychologist since 2006. I joined EWU in the fall of 2012. I continue to work with local school districts as a school psychologist while directing the School Psychology Respecialization Program. Please review the program website at: www.ewu.edu/edsonline
