Welcome to Eastern Washington University ROTC Fighting Eagle Battalion - Developing leaders for our country's future!

EWU Fighting Eagle Battalion promotes ROTC leadership development by actively recruiting, retaining and training qualified cadets and is focused on scholars, athletes and leaders for commissioning in the Active, Reserve and National Guard components of the United States Army. Army ROTC is dedicated to developing a sense of service to the nation and to developing better citizens and future leaders.

Criteria to qualify for ROTC Scholarships:

If you are interested in getting a start on your career, contact the EWU ROTC Enrollment Officer at 509.359.6110 or rotc@ewu.edu.

    National Army ROTC Scholarship

The National Army ROTC scholarship program is run by the U.S. Army Cadet Command. The deadline to apply for a four-year national scholarship is Jan. 10, 2013. You can find out more about the Army ROTC, in general, and apply for the four-year national scholarship, at the Army ROTC website.  Also, check with your high school guidance counselor for information about the Army ROTC scholarship. High school students can apply online for these scholarships at the Cadet Command website or request a paper version from our department.

If you are not selected for a national scholarship, that is, by no means, the end of the road. The national scholarship program is very competitive. There is additional scholarship money - in total, more than in the national program - in the hands of Army ROTC departments at the various universities.
