In the Army, when a family loses a member in war, we refer to them as a "Gold Star Family."  The following Alumni died while serving in Vietnam.  We call them "Gold Star Alumni" because they are part of our family, they gave the ultimate sacrifice, and we will always remember them.

    RANDALL NAVE ARNEY

    RICHARD DENNIS ATOR

    TIMOTHY GORDON BURCHETT

    VICTOR M. HODSON

    OWEN TED McCANDLIS

    RANDY VAN TURNER

    RICHARD HAROLD WALKER

    WILLIAM PENN WALL III

    RONALD GALE WOLFE

Rubbing from the Vietnam Memorial can be requested through:  https://donate.vvmf.org/page/signup/request-a-name-rubbing

A volunteer for the National Park Service, Mr. Allen McCabe, personally rubbed each of the names of the Alumni from EWU (then EWSC) who died while serving in Vietnam from the memorial in Washington DC.  Below is the scan of Mr. McCabe's letter:
