Pedro Ashford is one of two Academic Fieldwork Coordinators and a lecturer supporting courses in the areas of adult physical and cognitive impairments, activity analysis, and occupational therapy interventions for the Department of Occupational Therapy. Pedro has been a practicing rehabilitation therapist for the past 18 years with experience in various practice settings including acute and outpatient rehabilitation, adult day psychiatric program and home health services. His interests and expertise are in the areas of intrinsic motivation and occupational engagement, and physical conditioning as a method to optimize occupational performance. Mr. Ashford received his AAS in Physical Therapy Assistant in 1999, from Essex County College in Newark, NJ, BS in Occupational Therapy in 2005, from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA., and earned his MS degree in Exercise Science and Rehabilitation in 2009 from California University of Pennsylvania in California, PA.
