Although EWU provides general objectives to help guide fieldwork experiences, writing site specific objectives help to identify entry-level competencies at your particular site. The site specific objectives correspond to the Fieldwork Performance Evaluation and create objectives that are measurable, attainable, and behavioral for your practice setting.
AOTA provides a number of helpful resources for facilities to develop site specific objectives. The following document is a PowerPoint presentation that "walks" through the process for writing site specific objectives. To access examples of site specific objectives, log onto aota.org and click on the tab titled Educators-Researchers, then click on Educator Resources, then Fieldwork Education and scroll down to the samples. Note: You do not have to be an AOTA memeber to access this information.
