For hygienists who choose to enter private dental practice, a bachelor's degree offers a broader educational base and a more secure foundation for everyday interaction with the public.

Eastern Washington University Dental Hygiene is transitioning from a 3 year quarter system to a 2 year semester system. The degree earned will continue to be a bachelor of science in dental hygiene.
