The Outdoor Recreation degree at Eastern Washington University prepares students to program, facilitate, and lead outdoor adventure experiences for multiple populations. Students will take a combination of theory based and technical skill based courses where they will apply their learning in a real setting. Students will learn basic technical skills and leadership skills in activities such as backpacking, whitewater boating, winter camping, rock climbing, and mountaineering. In addition to a degree, students will obtain other certificates relevant to the outdoor industry, such as the Leave No Trace Master Educator.
