Prospective students should hold a baccalaureate degree in a health-related field from an accredited institution.
The MS program provides an opportunity for students to focus on one of two areas of specialization: exercise science, and sports and recreation administration. All students are required to take a basic core of courses and select a specialization area. A thesis is required of exercise science students. Students in administration may choose to complete a thesis or research report.
NOTE: This masters degree does NOT lead to a teaching certificate for K-12. For more inforrmation on teaching in the public schools, please contact the Education Department.
