Professor Bill Stimson was a reporter for the Spokane Chronicle, United Press International and Reuters and was editor of Spokane Magazine and Universe Magazine. His articles have been published in the Los Angeles Times, Newsweek and other magazines and newspapers, and he is the author of several books.
Program Director and Associate Professor Jamie Tobias Neely has taught at EWU since 2007. Previously, she served as a professional journalist for more than 25 years, most recently as an associate editor and member of the editorial board for The Spokesman-Review in Spokane, Wash. She continues to write op-ed commentary for The Spokseman-Review. Her journalism has been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists' Pacific Northwest Excellence in Journalism awards, Best of the West, the C.B. Blethen Memorial Award and Utah-Idaho-Spokane Associated Press awards.
