    This program of study is designed for certified teachers who wish to exercise leadership in school curriculum planning and development. Areas of emphasis include curriculum and instructional development, early childhood education and elementary teaching. Candidates can plan with an advisor to emphasize science education, social science education or school library media. Candidates could also choose to emphasize working with "at risk" learners, middle school education or gifted education. A copy of a state teaching certificate must accompany the graduate application.
    Teaching certification is required.
