We are in need of more AVID tutors at Westwood Middle School. We have 6 spots available now through June 4th.  We need tutors on Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30 to 1:20pm.  The tutors can sign up for just one of these days a week.  AVID tutoring is a volunteer opportunity for your students which gives them the benefit of a higher possibility of placement in our school for student teaching.  Many of our AVID tutors in the past have been picked up by one of our teachers for student teaching.

If any of your education students are interested, please forward our contact information.  You are also welcome to share with your education professors and we'd be happy to answer questions or share more information about this opportunity.    The contact information for our AVID building coordinator and teacher is Randy Elam at , 559-4177 or contact the assistant principal Tami Skillingstad at, 559-4153. Thank you,Tami Tami SkillingstadWestwood Middle School6120 S.
