Eastern Washington University Gallery of Art is currently accepting exhibition proposals from installation artists for the 2015-2016 exhibition season. Priority will be given to artists from the Pacific Northwest. A modest honorarium is offered for travel, shipping costs, speaking fees, etc.
The EWU Gallery of Art has a unique circular gallery space located in the center of the art building. Artists should be aware that the gallery has no ceiling but is open up through the second floor of the building. For this reason, it is not possible to hang work from the ceiling. Lightweight work may be hung from the track lighting. The walls of the gallery are constructed of plywood and the floor is brick. Installation of the work is the responsibility of the artist. As the gallery does not have staff to assist with installation, this opportunity is best suited to installation artists that generally work alone. A wood shop is available in the building. Submissions may be mailed or emailed. Please send a brief description of your proposed installation (no more than one page), 10 to 15 images of work (or link to images), artist statement and resume to:

Mailed submissions must include a SASE if you would like your materials returned.
Emailed images should be 72 or 96 dpi and may not exceed 1920 pixels in height or width. Maximum file size is 3 MB per image. Only JPEG images will be accepted by email. It is recommended that image files are packaged and emailed as a zip file.
