The Executive Branch holds three current officers: the President, the Executive Vice President, and the Finance Vice President.
My name is Rebecca Harrell and I will be a junior this year at EWU. I am majoring in Public Relations. I'm very excited to be a part of ASEWU this year and would really like to work to get the student body more involved with what is happening on campus. Please feel free to contact me and share your thoughts. Go Eags!
I was raised in the small town of Cowiche in Central Washington. Kind of like Cheney there really wasn't much to do there. I came to Eastern for the small town atmosphere of Cheney but also with the positive of Spokane being so close. I am a first generation college student. I am also the youngest of four kids but I am the first to attend college. I am double majoring in both Criminal Justice and Social Work. My goal is to get my masters degree in Social Work and when I finish school I would like to use my degrees to work with delinquent youth to get them back on the right path in life. This will be my third year being a council representative for the ASEWU. I have noticed things that need to be changed and I hope I can make these changes occur. Some of these changes include lowering the cost of meal plans for students living on campus and working with the STA on their services. My main goal though is to have students enjoy their time here at Eastern.
Vice President History:
My name is Markus Hammond and I am a senior here at Eastern Washington University. Over the last few years I have studied a broad range of subjects including music and mathematics, but finally realized a passion for the financial world. Through this discovery, I focused my studies on Accounting and Finance, with plans to double major. I grew up in Enumclaw, a small town on the west side of Washington, and was heavily involved with the instructional and performance sides of both music and sports. Since my arrival at EWU, I have felt the need to get involved, to help make a difference and to immerse myself in the world around me. ASWEU really provided me with the opportunity to not only get involved, but to help others get involved as well. I am beyond excited for this next year and to see what we as students can accomplish.
