The Direct Graduate PLUS Loan is available to graduate students who have not reached their full cost of attendance with other aid. The loan is in the student's name and is based on the student's credit rating.
You must be a fully-admitted graduate student taking at least 5 credits at the graduate level, and you must complete a FAFSA.
The U.S. Department of Education charges a 4.204% origination fee on all Direct Graduate PLUS Loans.
The Direct Graduate PLUS Loan interest rate is 6.41% for 2013-2014 and is fixed for the life of the loan. However, the interest rate may change each year for any new loans borrowed.
