Abstract: Power, Economics, Culture and Human Rights as Components in International Conflict Resolution

Mentor: Dr. Jeffrey L. Stafford, Communications Studies Department

Components involved in the development of international conflict and the condition of international peace are examined through the lens of power, economics , culture and an evaluation of the human rights violations factor. A conceptual framework of the interaction of these approaches is discussed and summarized, and salient cross-relevant functions of conflict development and peace conditions are revealed. Suggested future research involves creating a language of international conflict, a more in-depth exploration of the role of culture in international conflict and an examination of the role of international conflict negotiators.
